it is very small....in fact it is so small that you cannot see it on the globe or the map of the world.....but to indicate its presence a small dot was printed just big enough for ppl to notice its location....try using the search engine and type in Singapore you will be able to know more....

First of all i have to apologise for not running with you guys for this Poly50. I know we are a team and we ought to run together and win things together. I know that my fitness is being given to me through countless of canoeing and gym training. But i have my responsibilities towards Sports Club. It is through Sports Club that i know Stanley and got involved with canoe polo. So i truly hope that you guys will understand. Secondly i would like to thank all my team mates for supporting me during the race. :worship: And to Naseer, I could hear your voice everytime i run past the lap card changing station. Haha. Thanks for the support. Last but not least, i am really sad that our club did not get anything from the race. All the pre-Poly50 hype never really live up to it. The race started when you guys are registering. I hope this does not happen again. And to ah wee, get well soon. Rest your ankle well.

it was tough to be on the losing side but i m glab that u all have learned sumtink from this com and gain much needed experience.i agree with lek totally. u dun own me the game. i will always remember wat lek said to me once when he was still teaching polo to me that there is no such thing as bad junior but only bad senior. gathering from this com, i see that even if the senior are doing well, we are all concern bout ur welfare and ur game. we can only tell u wat to do and how to train. but in the pool its all up to urself.

hi SP juniors and seniors, dun forget about our coach.. he had managed to impart lots of skills to us unknowingly. he had taught us so much stuff that we had never knew from the start.. he was our root of skills so guys remember to say a big thank you to him.. We had given him the present of clinching all the top three spots in the national champs 04 open cat, and also retaining our IVP gold.. so we had to better buck up and maintain it.. it is never easy to maintain as a Champs! continue to train and explore canoepolo.. there are more than wat you had seen.. dun forget everyone is improving year after year. so dun be too proud till you lost it the following year.. Really glad to see the improvement that you guys can shown during the championship.. but remember a champion sports team is one with good fighting spirit, good teamwork and not forgetting good communication. Don't worry too much about the finals for this coming weekends. Just remember the 3 things that coach ask us to do during the game and we will win every game.

All of us have high hopes for our school. Be it Mens/Women U19, Mens/Women IVP or Mens/Women Opens. We may not be in the contention for a medal for Women IVP, but i am proud to say that my fellow team mates and juniors did their best for SP. We are proud to have you girls in our team!:thumbup: PS: Weining, i understand your feelings for the IVP category. Dump all those frustrations away and get the GOLD for the Women Opens!

As for the Mens, we are in contention for gold in all 3 categories. Junior guys, do us proud by getting the U19 GOLD. My fellow juniors in the IVP team, do not be afraid to do what you think is right. We may scold you if you made a silly mistake in the pool. But at the end of the day, we win and lose together as a team. Lets get the IVP GOLD and create the 3 years winning streak! I believe the seniors will go on to win the GOLD for Opens. Let us have a clean sweep of all the GOLDs in the Mens Categories!

Special thanks to my fellow IVP team mates for making this happen.Weehong and Weikeong who went to NS and came back to help us. Hengfoo and Hongfan who came back to train every week. (PS: Although Hongfan you tend to slack at home. Haha.) Jason and Matthew who had to put up with my constant nagging and scoldings. And finally the 3 juniors who live up to the hype and did us all proud by bringing back the IVP title together with us. (shortie, you deserve the no. that had been worn by so many fantastic players of SP.):thumbup:

The ladies did a fantastic job by going all the way to the final of the womens' open final. You girls were only a fingertip away from that elusive gold. But the fighting spirit that you had shown and the way you played your game had earned you the gold in our heart. Junior girls, train hard and you will achieve what the seniors did. You girls have a very good coach in jackson. Appreciate it.

Not forgetting my junior mens who demolish their opponents all the way to get :gold: for the under 19 category. You guys did us proud and entertained us with your play.

Rookies, my seniors. You guys did a good job too in getting :bronze: for the Mens Open. You prevented NUS from getting a clean sweep in the Opens like what we did last year, 2004. Dun be disheartened. There are always moments like these when you dun play well and lady luck is not on our side. But be sure to bounce back in style for the next competition.

To stan: Dun give up on being a keeper. You are doing a very good job. Tong Lee is on form yesterday lah. Dun shift all the blames to yourself and develop a fear for blocking shots. Goalkeeper's job is very simple, opponents shoot and we block. Dun think too much. I'm sure the rookies will be back to win the Mens' Opens for years to come.

No such thing as nvr good enough as long as the team try their best and enjoying the game. After all, medals and trophies are just pieces of colour
coated plastics, at the end of the day, its the been there and enjoyed that part that counts:thumbup:

Rookies, my seniors. You guys did a good job too in getting :bronze: for the Mens Open. You prevented NUS from getting a clean sweep in the Opens like what we did last year, 2004. Dun be disheartened. There are always moments like these when you dun play well and lady luck is not on our side. But be sure to bounce back in style for the next competition.

To stan: Dun give up on being a keeper. You are doing a very good job. Tong Lee is on form yesterday lah. Dun shift all the blames to yourself and develop a fear for blocking shots. Goalkeeper's job is very simple, opponents shoot and we block. Dun think too much. I'm sure the rookies will be back to win the Mens' Opens for years to come.

Enough of all these talks. Now is the time to celebrate and rest :cheers: . May all of us have a good competition the next time round. Juniors bring the IVP home for the 4th time! SPCT Woosh!

Regarding the rookies dun need lady luck but only more respect for opponents issue. I totally disagree with what tootz has said. Who dun need luck to win? You can be the best team in the competition but without luck you still can't win it! Look at the Champions' League Final match between AC Milan and Liverpool. Dun you agree with me that AC Milan is a better team than Liverpool? But at the end of the day, the team who won the title of best team in Europe is still Liverpool! (Who btw was 3-0 down at half time)

You may think that the way me or some of my team mates play are not giving the due respect the opponents deserve. But in my opinion they are mind games that we are playing to try to unstabilize our opponents.

Ask yourself this question that i am putting forward to you. If we are really arrogant and not giving other teams respect, how do you explain the effort that some of my seniors gave to teach other schools what they know? Did we ever shun you if you ask us any questions regarding defense, offence, boat skills, ball skills etc. ? I believe not. We want to share what we know with other schools so that we can progress together and push canoe polo to another level.

It is always the same issue that ppl like you hide behind your sweet little monitor and put others down without doing anything constructive to this canoe polo community. I am sad and ashamed for your school that you are here to give all these silly comments.. We just hope that you are not from our school. It really disgust me.. :thumbdown

Also for other team like TP, NP, NUS and NTU..The level of canoe polo has improve so fast from when i first came in...We should respect all the teams because all of us have trained so hard to increase the level of canoe polo in singapore....And this is wat we are doing....
