Can anyone tell me why Div 4 Central is played in Derby and Luton, no issue with Derby but Luton, surly this pool would be better for the Div 4 South.

Both Stratford and Cosley (Dudley) pools sit un-used on Saturday nights, whilst I don’t mind driving down to Luton it would appear a strange choice of pool for a league known as Central.

Nigel,
The pools are booked according to which teams are expected to enter not merely by the name of the divison

Surely the 5 Div 4 Divisions are there to represent geographical locations. So that local teams can play without overtravelling.

Bearing this in mind the pools should be booked accordingly by the league organisers before any teams enter and not to suit the needs of one or two teams who are should be playing another Division elsewhere which is closer to them!

Eg. If a team from Scotland wanted to play in Div 4 SE because they couldn't get in anywhere else and they offered they're pool up as a venue, before the pool bookings were made. Come the league time the other 9 teams in that Division would be pretty miffed at having to travel up to Scotland to play!

I know that this is an extreme example and can aplply in the case of Div1 and Div 2 but it is almost true! Since when was Luton Central????

So in the case of Div 4 Central why has this been allowed to happen?????

:worship: Hi Nigel
Whilst I agree playing Div 4 central in Luton is not shall we say an ideal solution, leave Coseley out of it I,m trying to book 2 Saturdays a month there to run div 2 and 3 of the West Midlands league.
They tell me Stratfords a nice pool!
See ya soon
