Hi to all - especially the moderators,
why do we not get instant personal messages? It seems that messages only come through to me when I log out and back in again,
I can't seem to message someone who is online, as though they don't receive it either
is it just me or do I have too high an expectation of the technology??

whenever I get a personal message it comes through straight away... you have to be using the site or refresh the page but I don't have to log out and back in again.

just though perhaps its just my "mates" never reply and blame it on the system that they don't get my messages......
now that make sense
any other ideas??
ha!
I don't know, I have it in my options that I get a popup box telling me whenever I get a new personal message when I'm logged in. I don't see why it should make any difference but maybe it'll just make message more noticable so "your mates" will see them straight away...
you can test it messaging me it you want..

Curly (and others)
You should be able to chack a checkbox when sending a message (under message textfield somewhere) that says :" request read receipt".
In that way you should be able to check if your mate read your message... and you don't have to wait for a reply to be sure ..
Rgrds,
Martijn
well... whatever
see you lot soon pab
