!!
It's so nicely taken.
It would be good most of the photos are uploaded online for pple to see.
It seems that others from the other forum are interested in how the game are played.
This sport sures interests pple just by taking a look of the photos
Heard some photos are up for competition?
All the best and hope that u win :)

well, you gotta understand i've probably >600 photos over the two days. i think i'm already underestimating the number of photos i have! *gulp*
sadly, the number of people who are interested in sports on a photography forum is low. i have a background as a longdistance runner -> biathlete/triathlete. i'm also working in a related profession, and i think it's good for me to get my hands wet to know more about other games and related strategic concepts...
i'll post up more photos, but i need to know the demand for my photos, before i do anything... fair, right? :)

Hi Sehsuan,
Thanx for taking time to cover our competition.
Like the one especially of the player in blue who has his face in his hands. Works well with the players in the background.
How abt uploading more to share?
ps. I'm sure you know of this site.

technically speaking, i'm only shooting because of my common sporting interest - and do remember that i missed out action from day 2 & 3. so i MAY look into the day 1 and 4 photos, pull out the "better" ones and upload them onto my website in the near future.
but right now, it would do me a great favour if the players here on the forum can tell me what kind of shots they want to see, other than their own faces on the screen :D
being specific is the best, i'll try to hunt down that kind of pics specified...

ure the man ... if you tink its good den its good... but i would like sum action photo... but light hearted ones put a smile on my face....jus my 2cent worth of comment... :twocents:
Noticed that u captured several profilic and toothy shots. They're very nicely taken indeed! There are two consecutive photos, where u captured a player scoring a goal.. These action shots are rare moments, which i tink most normal camera have problem capturing a close-up. It would be nice if to have more of those in future.. Like they said, a picture speaks a thousand words. Thanx for sharing the photos with us!

now i am manually sorting between horizontally and vertically oriented shots... can die already man LOL
update:
just finished sorting, but my neck and eyes and brain contorting me to tell me what is called "vertical"...
Woah... that's alot of snapshots per day. How many rolls of film did u use?

Struggled successfully to resize all the photos. Only 2 more steps left - to remove those OOF (out of focus) shots, candid shots, and finally, to upload. Once done, all of you can view the photos already, although there's only like... six of you requesting for the photos. Will try to reduce the number of shots from 1300+ to 300+, which isn't exactly possible...
mich, i was shooting using a digital SLR, using JPEG mode, storage being 2 x 512MB compactflash cards. if i used film, i'd be bankrupt now... :stupid:

This is the burning question that has been debated upon since digital cameras came into the consumers' market.
Has the convenience of digital technology made us trigger-happy?
Look at it this way.
Shoot digital, unlimited capacity as long as you have sizeable memory card and laptop to download photos to. Virtually free.
Shoot 35mm, about $10/roll of slide incl film and developing cost. Cheaper if you bulk roll and self-develop.
Shoot MF, about 2-3 times more each roll.
No one can do LF outdoors, at least not in sports photog, so no need to mention that.
Sehsuan, do you find yourself thinking how you want a shot to be composed? Or do you simply shoot since it's free anyway?
Some food for thought in this crazy world of digital convenience.

some of the shots were in a burst, like a goal being scored, or a shot at goal etc. sometimes, i take two continuous frames (in continuous drive) to compensate for a long lens with possible hand shaking < 1/200 sec.
so now, day 1 photos now trimmed to ~400 from ~700, need to work on day 4's photos. personally, it was a challenge to find non-repetitive composure for the photos, being my first time watching/shooting this sport :)

too many photos, haven't done some sorting... so sorry that you guys have to sieve through so many pages... :D
guys, help me a little, let your other CP friends know about the site. i'll probably remove it offline in about (estimated) 2 months' time... in the meanwhile, i would be glad if anyone wanted a particular shot to be printed - but i need to earn a small profit because it costs to buy the camera and pay for a webhosting solution... hope you guys understand! :hump:

Sehsuan,
You can do what many others (including myself) do, post your shots on free sites like Yahoo!, etc. (http://photos.yahoo.com) They give as much as 30MB free.

nothing much la. it's not "candy" shot, it's "candid". :D
anyway, i printed a few of her pictures and gave it to her - if it looks good enough, sometimes i give shots away willingly.
Raymond, downloading the photos is perfectly fine with me, the charges would be moreso for those who want them in print. actually, the camera costs waaay more than the hosting - and i'm not particularly a fan of yahoo photos since they resize it horribly to microscopic "previews" :D
