aye aye captain. dun worry i will make it a special year for me next year. the pressure is on us to retain the ivp champion next year, but i think with the team bonding between us getting stronger. we can make it. although the slots available for sp ivp team r few. i will fight for it and make it to the team next yr. as for the mens open, there is always a next yr. train hard guys. cos i will be training real hard. =)

dont know who is the unregistered but please get your facts correct before posting. If not please keep your comments to yourself.
NUS is going to australia under SCF as a CLUB, not as national team. we are taking part in the inter-club competition and not oceania. we are not taking anything away from the national team. they have been training hard and rightly deserve to go as National Team. get your facts correct!

You mean SCF puts $$$ as one of the criteria when selecting the nat'l squad? So what else do they look into?
Concerned.

Heard that NUS is using the name TEAM SINGAPORE "B". It seems to me that they are also representing the Nation if they use this name. It would definately take colours off the current National Squad. If they are taking part as a CLUB they should juz stick to any name and not TEAM SINGAPORE as this name is exclusive to the NATIONAL TEAM ONLY!!!!!

Hi all,
It's perfectly alright if you voice your displeasure at a particular issue because you reckon it could have been better.
That's one of the purposes of the existence of this forum. It's to allow discussions amongst people of the global and local canoe polo community who might not have the chance otherwise.
However, I would like to remind all posters to respect yourself and fellow members on this forum. You can do so by
1. identifying yourself when you post a message; and
2. making sure your message does not defame/insult anyone and is factually correct.
Thank you very much,

I think Raymond is right about the identifying yourself part, there are just too many posts by unregistered persons.
Just to clarify a few things, to the best of my knowledge the NUS team will be going either under the name "Team Singapore 2" or "SCF 2". This does not reflect on their desire to join the Nat. Team, it's just that that is the only way that NUS will allow the players to take leave to go for the Oceania. In fact the NUS team will only be taking part in the Inter-Clubs and not the Oceania category. That's reserved for the Nat. Team.
Maybe "unregisted" overheard my conversations with some of the Nat. Team members at Kallang just now where I mentioned that NUS will be going under "Team Singapore 2", it's probably where the misunderstanding arises. Please take note, NUS team are NOT awarded Nat. Team or Nat. Player status, they are simply making use of the name so that they will be attend the Australian Inter-Clubs.
So, please do cut the NUS team some slack and stop discussing about this topic.
The Sia Kang Master for the Nat. Team,
Swis Tat
Ray,
is it possible to prevent those UNREGISTERED to post msgs in here?
i feel its wrong to post those claims without identifying themselves.

Hey NUS....Don't let any-one stop you going overseas to gain the experiences availible. Do what ever you have to.......Those of you that want to complain, get off your bum and do it yourself (if you really want to go that is!)
As for money ruling the roost, well that is a sad fact of life in ameteur fringe sports. If polo is important to you then you can find the money to excel!
Look forward to seeing the friend I made earlier this year in Brisbane at the end of the month.

Greetings !
Its been a while since i last posted, just want to give my own 2 cents worth ..... :twocents:
This year's National Canoe Polo Championship went by much faster than i expected .... There were some great moments n i hoped it provided entertainment for neutral audiences. Buzzer beater goals , long range goals, golden goals just to name a few.
In my point of view , it was nail biting for me ( i mean literally). Though i've been in this sport for almost 2 years , i've seen a great change in terms of playing style n tactic wise. Canoe-polo is a very dynamic n flexible game which i'm still learning.
I would like to thank SCF itself for being the organiser, bringing us all together. Ah tat for cordinating the roles that each institute have to play and Hanqiang for the floating goalposts. Hopefully someone will take the place of these ppl who have sacrificed much of their time to contribute to this still relatively unknown sport !
As for tt unregistered user, he/she has his right to comment in this forum, just not let he/she kill ur spirits guys n gals ( NUS n NATIONAL TEAM). Look on the bright side , in the end u guys can further improve our local game after coming back from the OCEANIA trip. Dun get to worked up by his silly remarks yah ?
Do Us Proud ! Relish the moments ! I did , haha , i was part of the team tt went to putrajaya this year in march i think haha ( STM ). Even though there were a few teams, i will forever remember the times i spent with my fellow teammates ( Brothers Cheng , raymond, ezwan, simon, ah pang, stanley, jonathan ) plus team manager colonel Yip n Agnes. CHEERS MAN !
Hahaha sorry if i sound too draggy ......
All the best : ( "SP" , "NUS" , "TP" , "NP" )

Wink,
I must say you're one of the most good-natured player that I've come across in my years in Polo. Not only do you display an immense sense of sportsmanship but you've showed us that not all guys who look like the incredible hulk act like hooligans, on the playing field especially. Though we may be on opposite sides most of the time, I enjoyed myself each time we meet on competition grounds.
My offer to you that night still stands.
Hope to see you again in the pool at the next Champs.
Cheers,
Your friend
