Dear Competitor,
Congratulations on considering Carrick on Shannon for one of your team competition for the year 2002. This is the 6th year that Carrick will host this event and with your support it will once again prove to be a huge success.
As per last year, this year’s event is also the National Cup. So please remember to enter early, as there will be a cap of 30 teams, not forgetting that this is a festival weekend and accommodation will be scarce.
The organisers would like to take this opportunity to thank the Carrick Junior Chamber, the Carrick Rowing Club and the people of Carrick of Shannon for their continued support of this competition. Please respect their property during the event.
The competition fee is EUR60.00. It will be run to I.C.U rules in accordance with I.C.F rules of play. Each team must supply at least two referees. Teams failing to do so will pay an extra EUR50. Any behaviour on or off the pitch, which brings the competition’s good name into disrepute, will be dealt with seriously. Closing date for entries is the 17th May 2002. There are 3 divisions, 1, 2 and 3 to be played on two pitches over 2 days. The organiser’s decision is final on all problems relating to the competition.
Once again the earlier you enter the better chance we have of organising a top class competition. Accommodation will be scare so please book in advance of the weekend. If you have any more questions on the competition please do not hesitate to contact us.

Adrian Barber
