european championship 2003 in essen ?

i've heard this weekend that ireland can't oragnize the european championship and it will happen finally in essen .
have you got more information about this ?

I also heard last week that they almost gave the competition up a few months ago, has it finally happened? There are rumours about that funding is very low for the competition...

Folks

The Europeans have not been moved from Ireland. We are still proactively organising the competition and only had a meeting on Sunday about it. Everything is on schedule.

A meeting of the chief volunteers will probably be held sometime in May to start the ball rolling in that end.

Please quash these rumours and hope to see you all in Ireland.
