Hi all,
I've been in touch with Tom Colton and have volunteerd to take on the role of PRO for the Europeans. Its going to be a great event and I hope to get as much publicity as possible to attract crowds of supporters!
Hope to do this through TV coverage, radio interviews, newspaper articles & photographs, magazine articles, posters, flyers etc...
If anybody has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
Or if you have any personal contacts in the media that might help us, then please get in touch with me.
Thanks,
Grainne

Hi there!
PR work is going well so far, with newspapers and radio showing some interest in the event.
To generate interest throughout Europe I would like to send an article about the competition to as many canoeing magazines as possible BEFORE the event.
Will somebody PLEASE help out and write a short article???
Also if anybody could post contact details of the canoe magazine in their own countries, that would be a great help too.
Thanks,
Grainne

Hello,
I'm responsible for media contacts in Sweden and I will be happy to have an article that I can translate for the swedish newspapers.
We always contacts the media as soon as we have something and have succeeded in having some minutes in the sportprograms on TV. Otherwise it's mostly local newspapers (but thats great to) that are interested in our sport.
Best Regards

Adrian has kindly written an article about the Europeans, see attached document.
I am hoping that somebody in each of the participating countries will volunteer to translate this into their own language and submit it to their national canoe magazine and newspapers.
Thanks to Eva from Sweeden,Martijn from Holland and Niall from Northern Ireland who have already agreed to do this.
Please let me know if you are willing to do this in your country and I would also ask you to please post me a copy of anything that gets published.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
