Great all round boat, its stable and predictable in white water and surfs really well, its got a long waterline length with excellent acceleration and tracking. I’ve taken it out in some big surf and felt at home. The cockpits comfortable, with plenty of room for the bigger paddler. The boat was originally purchased to do my BCU 2 star in, and I’ve used it up to BCU 4 star.
The Animas is an ideal big water boat for the bigger paddler ( ie 6ft and 12 stone ) but is equally at home on flat water or estuaries.
