Although plastic boats aren't the most popular with players they are very sturdy and can last very long without serious repairs.
Most clubs use PE boats as club boats and players who have their own gear tend to buy more upscale materials.
If your club does decide to buy composite boats I'd say go for polyester/diolene as this is a lot cheaper and easier to repair. Besides, polyester for repairs is cheaper than epoxy.
From my experience a good kevlar boat will last for quite a while as well, but again, composite boats are more vulnerable to damage than plastic.
What will you use the boats for? Are they for beginners or is a Div I team supposed to play in them?
As it is now: I'd say go for plastic, otherwise get polyester/diolene (and someone to repair them next year ;-).
Just my $0.02,

I'd actually advise a Diolin construction as far as material is concerned. It's chaper than Kevlar and still works as an impact resistant material like Kevlar (only not as good - clearly).
I would also suggest Epozy-Vynl-Ester as a resin system.
It's cheaper than Epoxy, but has similar properties. It's also much stronger than polyester.
Contact Mega who likes using the stuff !
You can get his contact details from the For Sale page from my site.
