View Full Version : Flying boats between Ireland and the UK
Does anyone know what airlines will carry
polo boats as accompanied baggage between
Ireland and London (Heathrow)?
- and how much they charge?
Thanks,
John O'D.

Hi John,
Ryanair will take polo boats generally without too much hassel. Only once in 3 yrs have I had to pay. Generally we (polo squads)have managed to get around paying any excess luggage payments. Last time we travelled we had to pay £90 excess for 7 boats I think. With Ryanair turn up early with your boat and don't expect gentle treatment of your boat from the handdlers, a padded boatbag is a good idea or bubble-rap. Good idea if you don't have a whole lot of other luggage as well.
Have brought boats on British Midland as well.
