Hi Guys,
I am working on new material for an (eventual) new edition in early 2009 of my book on canoe polo and I would like to update the names of the top athletes of those countries which I had mentioned in the editions from 2005 through 2007 and bring them into current form.
It would be appreciatable to be able to source the names of these athletes country-wise through your invaluable help as each of you know what the current situation is in the countries of your residence.
The athletes in question I am interested are primarily from The UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, France, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, South Africa and Ireland, but any country not mentioned here are welcome to give their contribution too.
For Italy I have been able to source what I need, but everywhere else is hard for me to source. A list of 5/6 names in both the Men's and Ladies categories would be appreciated.
As of this years edition, I have been able to source 21 countries origins and at this moment I am working on new information which is time both labourous and daunting to finally put to paper. All in all it is important that our heritage is put to paper before our collective memories fade into the distant sunset undocumented and lost forever.........
So please take the time to contribute your list of the names of the 5/6 athletes in each category by country of whom you consider to rank in the 'Top List Athletes for 2008'.
