I was intrigued by this paddle that I saw at the ECA comp at Bologna over the weekend and I would like to know forum members views on the pro's and con's of its use, does it give any advantage, if so what? if its legal to use, etc etc.
Thanks!

I took a look at the paddle and have a few observations....
1. The whole blade was less than 5mm thick, so not legal for polo - even before a hole was made in the middle.
2. The use of a blade with a hole that a hand could get caught in is obviously dangerous for other players, and I certainly would not allow it to be used in a game.
3. I mentioned this to the owner, and he pointed out that the paddle was useful as a 'lucky charm'. I think that is probably the only use for it!
(I know there will be all sorts of chat about smaller blade area and holding the ball etc, but it is pointless,,,, )
A blade like this is not suitable for canoe polo.
