Euroean Club Championships 2008

.... and the winner was (once again) Deventer KV from the Netherlands! :thumbup: in the Men's Comp.

The Ladies Comp was won by F.O.A. Liverpool, Great Britain.

I have just got back home from Bologna tired after driving three hours but content to have been witness to two days of top level games in both divisions.
From a spectators view I can say that Deventer had a tough game playing catch-up with Chiavari as the progression of goals were always to the Italian team's advantage (1-0, 1-1, 2-1, 2-2, 3-2, 3-3) only when the score was 4-3 did Deventer get the lead to lose it with an Italian goal at 4-4 until full time.

Only after the extra time session of 10 minutes (with the golden goal rule) did Deventer score their 5th goal clinching their successive second year's winner's title.

So Hail the Kings of canoe polo! They're Mighty Deventer from The Netherlands!

P.S. I guess that in the next couple of days the entire games results will be posted on the forum, so stay tuned.

I guess that the full results will be posted soon. I know for a fact that the Italian team C.N. Posillipo classified 4th and that the German team N.W. Berlin classified 5th, but I do not have the foggiest idea what the rest of the classification was. :D

what is the full list of mens final standings ?

The full standing of the 17 Men's teams and the 10 Women's teams final results have not been specified on the Italian website but only the first three of the two groups.
I had elaborated the 8 results on the Men's and 4 on the Women's tables, and unless the organisers are going to post the full standings, then I guess that you too will have to do the rest of the elaboration, running through the results as I did to find out the remaining 9th-17th and 5th-10th classified clubs.
