View Full Version : Atahua Cup
Just wondering who will be at the event this weekend in the way of teams? Will be good to catch up with everyone. Efficiency in the Vikings camp again, like it always is and always will be (yes I admit to the fact that I was a kog in the Viking machine and do not regret it), your guys fine system must be filling out someones pockets. Catch you in the weekend.

Men's grade will consist of :
Vikings A, Viking B, and Viking C, Knights, Marauders, Horowhenua, Masterton youth, thunderbirds......still waiting on HB and an Auckland invitational?
As for the Vikings system......we have a few green ones this year. hopefully a few make there mark on the national stage.
Juno......hope your fitting into the Knights well. Strong Knights team will always help us all
there is a definite strong knights team with Jason Papps, Jason Juno, Mark, Eoin, Fish, David Peters... a few appearances from me, and two up and coming promising youth players...Paul and Robin...

What challenge??? I thought that when-ever there are games between PN and Wgtn it's a challenge......some-times the challenge is to fulfill certain basic goals for the teams, other times it's a challenge just to get a win!
Women's teams.......well this is in a state of continual flux. Started with 4 confirmed, down to two: Valkyries and Horo college....just give a couple of teams the chance to sort themselves out. So maybe a couple extra will be added! No sexism intended.....Yet
I suppose, in fact I agree with that fact. Pity about the womens grade as this competition would have been good for all teams to get some exposure to playing on an fullsize pitch (this is an understatement) and outdoors to hopefully all fingers crossed the weather stays as good as it is at the moment, won't be forgeting my sunscreen this weekend.
Hey Vish, I know I can't spell that is why I draw pictures all day and to solve an old problem I now have a nice new paddle with an easier name Double Dutch Polo Kinetic or is that Cinetik.
Hey juno
I can't code webpages, thats why i... oh never mind. Anyway what are you talking about spelling for? I teach students with dyslexia, do you need some tuition? Did you used to have a scleg... sche... blood drawing monstrosity of a paddle? If you read the player tips on paddles you will see some advice about paddle weight. Please note that our "auckland player" who used to draw blood now has a light fancy paddle that, (according to my calculations on pros and cons of paddle weight), can efficiently remove a man's arm in a split second, instead of the usual four second timeframe that requires several hacks.
I can't make it to the competition, I am overdue on every single deadline ever invented this month. Plus some deadlines that probably aren't invented but that are going to ambush me anyway. I'm in some sort of timewarp back in February, the Atahua competition will be in about three weeks time according to the standardised "vish-dateline".

Yes I admit I did had a schlegel, trusty never ever need another paddle my arse (broke mid-roll on full james, glad polo players learn to hand roll first), but it did make that cool squishy sound when you thought you were going fast. But I have learnt from this experience and the benefits of lighter, stiffer and variances in construction methods. I am also pleaed to here that the paddler that caused alot of pain to others and put my little finger in traction for a month has joined the masses, 3 inch foam attached to the edge of his paddles would have surficed. Spelling is no problem for me my nice Mac has a good spell check and the little calander at the top of my screen keeps me informed as to what date it is, I think the three means it is the third month or is that the day, when will americans learn.
