A mate of mine would like to start playing polo but can not fit into any of the club boats. He is 6.5ish and 19 stone. We had thought about taking the seat out of the club boats but I understand that when this was tried he ended up playing the new sport of squirt polo.
What can he fit in? (Preferably plastic).
If there is nothing, how would he go about getting a river boat approved for use in matches?
Thanks in advance,
Rhod

Hi friend,I know several big men in the polo world but we won't go into who or why, anyway back to the point.Has one's friend considered the SLIM FAST DIET SHAKE PLAN.
It's simple just take one slim fast shake for breakfast, one for lunch and you can have a normal tea.
In no time at all your friend(who we all know is you really)will have lost several pounds and therefore be able to fit snugly into a polo boat and ready for aquatic combat.
As for the legs I suggest we cut them off just below the knea!
If none of this helps maybe the big man should take up sumo.

Helpful.

More useful might be to tell me what boat they paddle?
To clarify my mate is not overly fat, just of a massive build. He can belt a polo ball, I’m sure he would be really good if we could get him a boat that would allow him to start playing.

Biggest boat suggested in the thread is large combat, rated for people up to 100Kg. My friend is 120Kg. Is this sport really so un-inclusive that there is no legal boat for people over 100Kg. I am 95Kg and normally compete in a B.U.G, am I the worlds biggest polo player?

I paddle a Vampire 2001, I think this is rated to 120kg. Hope this helps.

nope. plenty of people outstrip u for weight. I did till not long ago. guy on my team is around the 120 mark, i think. perhaps a lil more.
Boats to look at, Lettman Fider (sp?), Vampire XL, Dynamic. These are all all kevlar or similar boats. The Perception Acrobat is a plastic boat with a keyhole deck, and while it may not be completely on top of the water with a guy that big he will almost certainly be able to get into it. Also a boat called a Cyclone, dont know who makes them, but yeh.
