Hello the 2007 world championships committee has a favor to ask all canoe polo supportors.

We are trying to get media coverage of the championships, either life or by streaming video.

But we have to peak the networks interest, one such station is the Aboriginal People Television Network. They did a nice piece on our Cup of the North tournament and about the upcoming worlds. They have put it on their website in streaming video until Monday Febuary 18th. I would like as many hits from as many places as possible to show the sudience they can expect.

So please goto www.aptn.ca/streaming (http://www.aptn.ca/streaming) Then under APTN national prime time news, click on the Tuesday Febuary 12th file and it is mentioned in the highlites at the start and then it is the last story.

Small steps but if we can get streaming video this year, it might develop to network coverage in years to come. So please support our efforts.

Hello Organizing committee!

With all respect Can't we have a similar WORLDS page to the www.worldfreestylekayakingchampionships.com that took place in Canada too?

I mean visually and with information for the global p u b l i c that has heard from canoe polo for the f i r s t time. We have to give them the best image!
(e.g. athlete profiles, 56 teams from 25 countries = roughly about 400 athletes, in this great park in the city center, ...)

Then we athletes can tell our sponsors and friends where we are going. We are going to EDMONTON CANADA! Check this website!

I hope it was not too rude, maybe I was too early.

Besides great idea from you to encourage us to hit the Link, but did it work out?

Hi Lawson,

I'm Singapore canoe polo player (will be going to edmonton for this event as well) and also project manager for online application.

Understand that you are looking for media coverage for this year world canoe polo championship. I wonder if we can offer this event the service?

I have dropped you an email on this. You may view, one of our online portals that we developed and supportting, the youth sporting channel at: http://www.adrenaline.sg, to get some ideas what sort of services we may be able to offer.

Hope there is a chance for us to work together and make this year world canoe polo championship a well-known sport like FIFA cup and allow more players to seek sponsorship from their countries.

Please do not hestiate to contact me via the forum email if you failed to recieve my email.

Regards,
Zoe Lek

I think that worlds website doesn't suit at all to what its supposed to do. I mean, the kind of information in it could be send to each team leader; don't think that someone who doesn't really know what canoepolo is would be very interested to book acommodation for athletes, boat rentals and so far. I couldn't be more agree with nek:

"I mean visually and with information for the global p u b l i c that has heard from canoe polo for the f i r s t time. We have to give them the best image!

From all the sections you have in index, I would delete the following:
-costs
-accommodations
-equipment
-forum
-traveling to canada
-training
All the information in this sections can be send to team leaders and they can inform all their athletes!!!!bulletins are very good.

I would add other sections, like:
-what the hell is canoepolo, rules, skills...so a spectator can know something about the sport before the competition begins.
-a bit of history
-canoepolo clubs in the area of edmonton, man, you have a big chance of making benefit of it!!
-photos/videos
-athlete profiles, at least of the canadians!!

Beside that, I fear the web design is not as good as possible. A world championships requires a good-looking website. With all respect, but this red and blue combination at the background is horrible!!!!Hope that you understand this is my personal opinion...

Yes I do have to agree, the website should be aimed at publicsing the WC rather than informing teams (maybe it would be useful to have a separate log in for team leaders & athletes so they can find the information they need but keep the main part of the site simple and about Canoe Polo.

I also have to agree the red and blue looks ghastly!
