SCOTTISH DIVISION 3 - CENTRAL

Any clubs interested in entering a Scottish Division 3 ?

What is the entry cost expected to be and what are the proposed dates for tounaments?

Following my e-mail of 30th Jan and the post on the website have had a positive response from the following teams:

Perth
Strathclyde Uni
Aberdeen
Heriot Watt Uni
St Andrews Uni
Glasgow Uni
FCAG

We have provisionally booked two dates:

Sunday 13th April 2008 - 16.00 - 20.30 hrs
Sunday 27th April 2008 - 16.00 - 20.30 hrs

Based on all clubs entering 1 team - giving 7 - we would propose that all teams play each other once.
Total of 21 games - split over the two dates.

We could accommodate one other team in this format.
With 8 teams - total 28 games - split over the two tournaments would also work.

The pool costs £78.70 per hour
Two tourneys at 4.5 hrs each means pool bill of £708.30
Allowing for minimal admin and a ball say £725
No prizes in this cost!
With 7 teams = £104 per team
With 8 teams = £91 per team

As a matter of urgency can you get back (by return if possible) to confirm whether your club would enter - for both these dates and at the cost indicated.......
Also let me know if you would want additional small cost to cover prizes for winners?

Whilst I have been collating the entries (I get the Website responses) - Keith Page will be running Div 3

We are keen to get the league up and running - and there appears to be teams wanting to participate.

There are two paddlers - Thomas Walker - and Graham McGlashen - addresses in this distribution - looking for a game so if you are short please let them know.
