Registration for the men's category has all but closed for this years event, which by looking at the names of the teams taking part, is going to be very international with nine different nations taking part in a field of sixteen!

:finland::swiss::spain::italy::germany::britain:

+ BELGIUM (Hey! Where's their flag?)
+ CZECH REPUBLIC (Hey! ditto!)
+ HUNGARY (ditto)

This is what being a part of the European Union is all about! :thumbup:

Starting with this year's edition, we have decided to include to the tournament a new format which combines the LADIES category, DIVISION III mens teams and a MIXED TEAMS category of both sexes.

The tournament will be open to a maximum of 8 teams this year and will be expanded to 12 teams from 2009 onwards.

As the original idea of holding a tournament for the single category of LADIES teams intitled the '1° MININ CUP' did not give the expected registration hoped for, this title will be intergrated into the tournament and will be given to the first ladies team to classify.

However, the first three teams to classify irrespective of their categories will be awarded official prizes in this new group event.

In this way the overall tournament as a whole now with two seperate categories will give more diverse options for teams from different skill levels to come and play here competitively. :thumbup:

Canoa Club Bologna has informed me that they will not be coming to the tournament this year. Their place has been taken by Mariner Canoa Club also from Italy, winners of the 2004 edition.

Welcome back guys! :wavey:

Due to the fact that an Italian team, LNI ANCONA from Italy just six days from the start of our tournament has decided to pull out we are now short of a team in Group A.
If there is any team out there who would be interested in playing here to fill up this vacancy (from National Teams/Div I,II,III/Mixed Teams) they would be extreemly welcomed to do so. The registration fee is obviously waivered and the teams that they would be playing against in the preliminary round would be:
CK ACADEMY, Italy/SWISS NATIONAL SENIOR TEAM/GEKKO LOKEREN, Belgum/KAYAK TAMPERE, Finland/KP PRAHA, Czech Republic/A.S. MARINER, Italy and CANOA SAN GIORGIO, Italy.
Please send your emails to natisonekayakclub@yahoo.com or phone me directly at +39 329 9413 966
Thanks!
