I'm looking for a team for the forthcoming season.
I've been away for a few months and lost my place in my usual team.
I've previously played with Avon B (in D3) and, briefly, for Avon A (in D1). I played a good few tournaments this summer (D1 and D2) and have been training regularly.
Hoping to play D2 or D3.
Thanks,
Joe
You turned down the option to play for Avon in D3, are now asking to compete for another club, still expect to take up a training place with Avon! And want to be involved in setting up their club code of conduct. Good luck in finding a new team.

Why don't you do us all a favour and identify yourself? If you don't wish to do so sobeit, but writing under the club's name gives the impression you speak for it. You don't.
I had my reasons for turning down the place as it was offered. I explained some of them to the persons concerned and stand by both my reasons and the ultimate decision. I don't think this is the place to air them but if you would like to discuss them, please let me know.
Yes, I have indicated that I would like to be involved in the development of the club's Code of Conduct. This is because I am interested in the long-term development of a club at which I train and for which I intend to play in the future.
As for asking around: as I understand it, as of last Wednesday, I am now on a rota that might see me invited to training sessions once every few months and I am currently not playing for a club this season. I think it's natural that I should look elsewhere, despite my preference to stay at my local club, at which I have played for a number of years and where a number of my friends are based.

..... Because I hate people who make gratutious swipes at other people who are trying to explain positions reasonably. I know nothing about the issues the Avon guys are arguing about (tho I do understand why one would complain an anymous poster is claiming a wider than proven mandate).
So why pitch in with posturing?
The sole purpose of your intervention seems to be parade your own self-importance the longer you stay 'Pending' the better IMHO. Maybe when you become a member you could chose a clearer name than 'Bug'?
Troll might fit.
