Anyone who would like a Mikasa Competition Canoe Polo Ball (the ones with blue and yellow stripes) send me an email fsonneland@tahunanui.school.nz These balls are far superior in my humble opinion to the Baden's that we are currently using and are the ones used by ICF. I find they seem to stick in your hand better making it easier to do those tricky shots that beat goalies. I also prefer to train with the sort of ball I am going to play with in international games (this won't be everyone's goal I know).

They will cost you $65 +pp or I can deliver them to training camps & polo comps when they're on.

HI,

Firstly I want to say that I have a commercial interest in selling the baden balls. They pay for some of my polo........

The Information relayed in Freye's e-mail is incorrect. The World Champs use the other Mikasa balls 6000C, these are either yellow with black lines or multi colour with black lines. The ones with the blue lines (6600) are cheaper and are good, but only for the short term. They wear out really quickly. You can get these (6600) from Rebel sports through your sports club for about $40 each.

Sorry Freye

I do agree with Freye that the balls do feel different from brand to brand.........and plenty of peopel agree with Freye about Mikasa being better balls, afterall they are the biggest water polo brand in the world.

Sorry James but you are wrong. I have played polo for long enough internationally to know the difference. The balls are not the blue lined ones, they are the yellow and blue competition balls with black lines. Trust me I do know what I am talking about here.

Ah Freye I am guilty as charged............i read that too quickly.

In which case Freye is correct these as a good price too, with most shops selling these balls for between $79-99 each.

sorry

Cuppy wants to order one to replace the one he stole at Easter and is now no longer in new condition, or really even decent condition.
He'd probably like to order another one for himself to use to practice throwing against his wall.

love it.............suppose there are a few others out there too if reports are correct.

Actually there are a few NZ balls missing from National League and IUnter Regionals.............anybody??

There are still balls missing. Not as many as first thought, but still a lot for one comp.
I don't know why people think that it's ok taking balls from a comp. It puts a lot of pressure on the committees financially to have good balls at each comp when they have to be bought to replace stolen ones every time.

In my experience people only steal balls if they've got none of their own. (Pun intended) :D

Hey Freya - have you got a deadline for this? I'd be keen for one but Mainland must be due for a top-up due to the ever disappearing problem. Have you got both sizes available?

Freya

Yes both sizes. I can put an order in any time so I will be putting one in shortly and the offer will continue to stand. Anytime anyone wants Mikasa competition balls I can hook you up

I will find out about the weighted ones this week. I will be putting an order in for those people who have already emailed me at the end of the week, if this time frame doesn't suit anyone else who is interested no problem there will be other orders whenever required
