Hi all,
i just came back from Korea and here is the 2007 Asian Championship result.

Open man
1) Chinese Taipei
2) Japan
3) Iran
4) Hong Kong
5) Korea

Open Women
1) Iran
2) Japan
3) Chinese Taipei

Under 21 man
1) Iran
2) Japan
3) Chinese Taipei

A surprice for Korea, they can actually form a team in such a short time..
Korea coach told me that they just training for 2 months (in fact we all doubt about it), and they play a very good game againts stronger team.. best fighting spirit, very good passing, very good boat control, just lack of static and experiences.. i think if they continouse training polo their team will become very strong in next few year.. but the coach say that the polo team will dismiss after this championship... what a shame..

Iran is another surprice for man under 21 team, very powerful team not as agressive as the senious but can be a very good team in next few years..

As a referee, referee Iran senious team against other is always a problem. i do make some mistake in the game but still stand with my card given (highest in my referee experience) 2 yellow and 3 green.. and in fact one of the yellow should be red..

chinese taipei is still the strongest in this area, but the gape between top three is decreasing..

it's shame that malaysia and singapore team can't make it to korea.. we all got money problem.. 2009 asian championship will be at Taiwan!!

cheers

hi, songpeng,
:)
I will ask Te-chih or Li-chun about the results of the games during this few weeks,
and hope they didnt bin it ,too....:P
I agree with you about the problem, referee Iran team's games is not easy.
Every referee may make some mistakes,
but I can feel that you stand in a fair place to make the games run smoothly.
the most important thing is we all follow the rules!
So,
you did a great job in this championship!
Welcome to Taiwan in 2009!!!
