Euro champ. in Irland?

Hello,
I have just notised that you write on the site for the Euro Champs. that only Men and Men U-21 will be there. No women from Finland?
I hope there will be a team.

Oh, well, I think it has to be a mistake....I`ve heard that there will be women, men and men u21 from Finland. Am I right folks? :reindeer:

Unfortunatelly it is very likely that there will be no women's team from Finland at the European Champs. :waah: There is just too few women playing polo in Finland. When some of the women are too busy whit their studies or otherwise not playing polo at the moment it is a huge problem for the national team. We haven't been able to train together for several months and the latest attempt to organise a training session seems to have failed too. I agree with our coach that if we don't manage to train together, we shouldn't play at the Champs. I personally would have been ready to train and to play at the Champs, so I am a bit dissapionted. I hope that this is just a temporary situation and we will be back next year.

At the moment the situation looks bad for the womens team, so bad actually that it's very likely to happen that they will miss the Europeans at Ireland. :( However, the team will continue training as normal and the situation may improve during the spring. As said school and work are the first priority, polo second(hopefully), so it's quite understandable.
I hope that when our womens team will go to their next tournament(what ever it is) they will play as good as they did in Essen! :thumbup:

Kärpänen, ymmärtääkseni Santtu ilmotti sulle siinä raakabudjetissa, että lähössä ois KAKS joukkuetta ja kolme huoltajaa (yht. 23 henkeä). Näin mä oon ainakin ymmärtäny, en sit tiiä... Mut tilanne on siis todellakin se, että Irlantiin on näillä näkymin lähössä miehet ja junnut + muutama huoltaja & joukkueenjohtaja (jos vaan halukkaita löytyy). Ite oon ilmottanu olevani halukas lähtemään huoltajaksi, jos/kun en pääse pelaamaan.

Juu, sori Aarne... Empä tainnu vartavasten huomauttaa että budjetti oli vain kahdelle joukkueelle, siis todellakin vain miehet ja junnut...
Ei aina tajua sanoa kaikkea erikseen, eli sorppa viel kerran jos tuli ylimääräistä duunia.
