how to place a seat

I've bought a galasport sphinx and know i have to place the seat. What are the advantiges and disadvantages of placing the seat more in front...

Your seat position determines how (well) your boat reponds
to your movements etc.

If you place the seat too far in front the boat will dive
and getting the back under water is harder too. similarly
placing the seat too far at the back will result in loss
of forward speed and difficulty in diving the nose.

Usually it takes some experimenting to find out the ideal
seat position and experience might let you change the
seat position again.

One option is to use a little epoxy and some fibre to place the seat and test it. It should be easy to take the seat
out so use very little epoxy, just enough to let the seat
stick.

Once you've found the ideal position, put on more epoxy and
fibres to secure it.
