View Full Version : Search for host
Jip,
one of my U21 teammates wants to go to New Zealand next October for about half a year.
So if there's someone who probably knows someone to host her or could host her or just could give some good tips where to play polo, good places to party and so on - please let us know.
Thanks
Inge
There are five main centres to play polo in New Zealand. Four in the North Island: Auckland, Hawkes Bay, Palmerston North and Wellington and one in the South Island: Christchurch.
Personally I think Wellington would be the best place to party and play polo :-) .... I'm not that biased!!!

Jac is slightly Biased......something to do with love or....??
Palmerston North is the place to be based. Strong polo base, central, both Hawkes Bay and Wellington are with in 2hours drive.
Jac, don't forget where yu learnt to play!
Also an important consideration for a young women: plenty of young single men......(not me though).
Yes, if you like guys in homespuns and gumboots with a flair for all things agricultural

hey that's not fair.........ask any-one that knows me, no gumboats or homespun clothing, perhaps a touch of 80's thats all.
I didn't see you complain about our farm dam training ground!
I have to agree with you James, Palmerston North would be slightly better as we (Wellington) have problems with training venues at the moment and the new PN venue is fantastic!!! Hmmm can we get a dam put in in Wellington????

I think she should come to Palmerston North - the Vikings are really keen to take out the top National League title and a German import to tell them what to do might be just the trick :barbell:
There would be plenty of opportunities for her in PN :)
