Folks

In the last year or two you may have heard the canoe polo players talking about Ireland's success in achieving the hosting of the European Canoe Polo Championships in Ireland. This is a high achievement for Ireland and is an acknowledgement of Irelands contribution to the sport over the past years.

The event is being run in Kilcock on the 9th - 17th August 2003. So far the organising committee of 6 people have spend the last two years organising the event and it now comes to the time when we are reaching out to the wider Canoe Polo community and asking for volunteers to help out at the event.

An event like this can not be run without the help and support of its volunteers. Please let us know if you are willing to volunteer to help out at the Europeans competition by filling out the volunteer application form at:
http://www.canoepolo.ie/volunteer.htm

or by sending a mail to:

5th European Canoe Polo Championships 2003
36 The Drive
Oldtown Mill
Celbridge
Co. Kildare
Ireland

stating your interest.

Folks

In order for us to allocate posts to people for the Europeans we need you to apply as soon as possible.

I am involved to an extent with the Special Olympics in Ireland this June and they started recruiting people two years ago and closed their entries before December.

We have people allocated to certain leadership roles and we would liek to ensure that the correct volunteers are allocated to the correct roles.

If you are not in early then you may not get the role you want.

Please volunteer on http://www.canoepolo.ie/volunteer.htm
