Although I have not paddled the flight it is gaining
popularity in Holland. Most Dutch players nowadays
swithced to other boats as the Flight (like the Skimmer)
is quite square and as such is a bit vulnerable to
incoming missiles (a.k.a. your opponents' boat ;-).

Other than that it seems a fine boat, very manouvrable
and those players I know that paddle it are very happy
with it.

Just make sure you don't weigh much more than 75 kilo's
and you'll be fine (although Dave from Trekvogels
does way a lot more and paddles one pretty well..)

Just my $0.02,
(still don't have a euro sign on this computer ;-)

the Flights are great.i've paddle one a few times, and have just put an order in for one. the're dead quick in the water and great for turning and tail dips.i'd definetly get one-loads of top players paddle them.
have a look at dave's website

The Flight is one of the best boats in the world but it is to expensive i think. When you are dutch speaking you can check http://www.kajakpolo-lokeren.yucom.be their you find some boat reviews.

I have paddled a flight for about a year now, and I have enjoyed it very much. It is very manouverable and easy to spin (no flatwater cartwheels though). The only downside for me (74 kg) is it is just a bit slow compared to other boats I've paddled. I'm looking into the legality of installing a small jet engine behind the cockpit, but I may just have to stop eating so many chips.

It wasn't the cheapest boat around, but it is well made, well designed and has so far survived routine battering by my teamates (I have the "full club" model).

Feel free to email me directly if you have any specific questions.

Cheers,
John
