Hey guys,

Just to remind ye all the Galway Polo is coming up this June 23/24th.
Its an outdoor comp, situated on the Canal in the City just down from the Cathedral.

As ye all know Galway is the best spot in Ireland to go out partying and it wouldnt be a polo comp without the Galway team, so you know well in advance you're in for a good weekend in our home turf.

We are looking at Div1,2,3 and U16 dependant on intrest levels in each.

As its in the city, there isnt gonna be any camping, so hostels are prob best bet, www.sleepzone.ie , is a large decent hostel, right off eyre square and about a 10min walk from the pitches, or there are plenty of other alternatives to be found.

I'll have the entry form up hopefully later tonight/tomorrow and more details to follow.

I've already had people onto me querying the cryptospiridium thing with the water, and from talking with the council they have informed me the problem only relates to tap water in the city not with the water in the lake(which feeds the canal), so provided you dont drink the water and brush teeth etc with bottled water there should be no problems.

if you've any questions or Queries drop me an email grassey at gmail . com or ring me outside working hours on 085 146 3719

Cheers Rob

So who's coming to the Galway comp? We're planning two pitches right in the middle of the city so there should be a good atmosphere. I've head of interest from DCU, Limerick, Kilcock. Anyone else?
See you all in Carrick.

Rob,

QUB are thinking of entering a Div 3 team, as are BKC - they were asking me for details about the competition last night. I'm sure they will confirm either way with you in the next day or so.

Hey guys,
righteo so here is the timetable,
There is only a div3 one as this was the only division we had entries for. So here ye go, hope there are no mistakes or problems, if there are can you gimme a shout asap so I can fix it!

On an other note, the pitch has been moved slightly up the canal, its now right beside the collegeand cathedral and kayak shed, and Wards shop, any boats and gear can be left in our shed overnight for safety.

Friday night: Bieerhaus (beside Roisin dubh) off bottom of Dominics St
Sat Night: Venue TBC, and nightclub passes for anyone who is interested.
Sunday: prizegiving and finish up by 3ish

Glad to hear the rest of the weekend went well! Just wanted to say thanks. It was a great venue, with great T-shirts(!), great craic with some of the best dancing I've seen in years & a great excuse for me to buy a new handbag!

We'll definitely be back next year.....hopefully without all the drama!

See you all in Killaloe
