Every year, some of the higher classified ladies teams enter our competition and try to get into 2nd div instead of ladies div. A problem! We do not longer have a full ladies div (+/- 10 teams) and some men don't get into 2nd. Other ladies do not longer enter, because they have to play lesser teams or games because of this fenomenon. It's also a fact that the strong ladies (read national teams) only show up before Worlds or Europeans. This is not recommended when trying to build up a worthy ladiescompetition on an international scale. I can't help having the feeling that we keep on having problems to have enough ladies, even in Europeans and Worlds. This way we are creating a situation where we have a few top teams, and a very weak base. Thé scenario of selfdistruction.
We are thinking about refusing ladies in 2nd div on our tournament and hope that other international tournaments will start thinking about this problem to. What do you think? This way, over the years, we can start builing up from bottom to top. Maybe the commitee can concider having this discussion on ICF-level.

Hello

sorry but i'm not sure to understand what is your problem.
Is it that due to female players, the level increase in the "men" 2nd division that's why some men can't play in your competitions?
Last year we finished 2nd to charleroi with mixed team (50%), i think that i've play my level.
When can one play on our own level?

Are you afraid with the idea to lost against girls?:D lol

Maybe you prefer have a good time with your male friends in tournment?

For man, you can choose to play in first division or 2nd division, i think that the girls could choose the level too.

Change the name of your categories and the problem will be solved

International competition is the single time for the girls for play in teir own level in competition

Maybe you can discrease the price of the subscription if there 's ladies and men teams of the same club; or give priority in the subscription or offer drink tickets for the squad!

I've play canoe polo for 15 years, i've training aigainst men as soon as possible; some of them were less strong than me (because younger or less training) then they increased their level and became better. I thus do not have any more the right to play competitions with my friends?

I continues to train with men and hope to continues to play with mixed team.

It's difficult when you have 8 women players to have the completed team to travel for 24hours during one weekend just for the fun. It's easier for men because there's more men in the same club; with 2 team you can make one.
