The WCA (http://www.welsh-canoeing.org.uk/) are running an access campaign currently. How does Access affect Polo? Use of the venue for the Welsh Open has been lost in Pembroke! The SW lost use of their Polo venue near Devises! The law is not clear on access to rivers and lakes for canoes. You can help to secure future open access for canoeists by taking two minutes to sign this online petition (http://petitionthem.com/default.asp?sect=detail&pet=2856) and if you live in Wales you can also write to your Welsh Assembly Member (http://www.canoewales.com/access/advice_on_writing.htm) asking them to take issue for you.

Ask your friends and club members to also sign the petition as time is fast running out.

Pyranha/P&H (manufacturers of Revenge polo kayaks) have given their offical support to the campaign.

Just for the record, we haven't lost access to use Castle Pond in Pembroke for polo. The club decided it no longer wished to run the Welsh Open. The venue is due to be used for a couple of polo events this year, including the Welsh League.

Sorry for causing confusion, the message that made its way over the bridge said that you had lost use of the facilities at the Pond! Good news that it is still being used.
